Christina Romero (aka Kooks)
“We’re not causing trouble. We are going out, having a good time cruising the streets. Seeing other people out there. And when they lifted the ban, it’s the same thing- they (cops) are going to pull you over regardless if they want to for whatever reason. They are going to do what they want to do”.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Christina Romero AKA Kooks speaks on the stigmas associated with lowriding, on law enforcement and cruising, on the truths and intensions of the lowrider community, on San Jose cruising post-ban lifting, on sharing and passing her car on to her daughter, and on women in lowriding- what it means and feels like to be a Dueña.

Member since 2020
I’ve been in the lowrider/cruising scene since a young teen. I enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful cars and loud music playing and when I grew up, I was able to buy my own old school car- an 86 baby blue cutlass. I am currently working as an HR payroll manager in the automotive industry. I am a single mother raising a 12 year old daughter.
