Mia
“Everything’s evolving (in San Jose). And I think lowrider history is also evolving in the same way- that we are kind of taking over. And, it’s nice to see the power of the people. They grow that and instill that into their children and then make it part of the festivals”.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Mia speaks on how she takes out-of-towners on cruising tours down Story and King to share her love of lowriding and San Jose history, on the tactics that the city, law enforcement, and political figures use to pick and choose when lowriding/cruising is acceptable and when it is punishable, and on embracing and empowering the next generation of Dueñas- to hustle, to invest, and to do what they love.
